SciTech Spectacular 2005 exhibit update Mar.10,2005 ======================================= Robot Sumo ---------- The Robot Sumo consists of 2 robots wrestling in the fashion of the japanese wrestlers. The autonomous sumobots are programmed to seek out it's opponent and attempt to maneuver such that it can shove the opponent beyond the ring. The winner of the match is the robot who can push it's opponent out of the ring (dohyo). Robot Mouse Race ---------------- The Robot Mouse race consists of two mazes with their own robot mouse. The user controls the mouse in one of the mazes with a tethered cable attached to a display console. The other maze contains an autonomous robot mouse which is capable of traversing the maze under it's own guidance. The user must steer it's robot mouse without looking at the maze. Only by viewing the display console with it's array of sensor lights can the user traverse the maze. The winner of the race is the first to get to the end of the maze where the cheese is found. Display stand ------------- The display table have a group of robots which are built by our memebers. They each have a sign listing any details, such as, computer, motors, sensors, etc, which were used in building the robot. Also, various robotics books will be on display which people can look at. Promotional Video ----------------- The video contains verious clips of robot compeitions from other robotic clubs from around the country. Also, there are several clips of demonstrations of sophisticated robots from organizations around the world. Signup sheet ------------ There will be a signup sheet for people who wish to get more info about joining our robotics club. Survey form ----------- There will be a form to let us take a survey on what robot competition people are interested in participating. There is a list of available competitions which are possible to host for next year. Flyers ------------ Hand out the new flyers
