Mouse Maze Design
This is a workbook documenting the design work for
the mouse maze used for the SciTech Spectacular at Carnegie Science Center

Maze Design:

There are 3 possiblities so far in the design of the maze, either a 3x6 grid, 4x8 grid or 5x10 grid. The difference will translate to the design of the robot mouse, the larger grid will need a smaller robot design. As the dimensions ot the maze becomes smaller for the mousebot to fit between the walls.

Here's a typical maze from the Micro Mouse competition. Our maze will be much simpler than this so as to keep the demonstration from running too long during the exhibit.


The drawings shown below are used to design what path will be used for the robot mouse. The complexity of the maze will be low so as to keep the demonstration from running too long. So at each interesection in the maze, we would like to keep the number of paths limited to one or two choices. Some examples are also shown below
